Investigation period: Monday, October 15-Tuesday, 30th, October 2018
This time, we put a building investigation based on a mid and long term preservation plan into effect in Myanmar. It was Myanmar which is also called an Asian land of mystery, where there were a lot of historic landmarks that you can’t usually lay eyes in Japan. The buildings, built of bricks, were constructed 100 years ago in the British government age, so that our investigation was very meaningful and was something valuable.
However, because of the lack of knowledge about building engineering and technology of investigation and repairs, there are also a lot of buildings are required to have maintenance as well as repairs immediately. Environmental improvement was also recognized as an important problem through this investigation, not only by an aspect of maintenance as well as the repair of degradation and damage in a building.
It was the first investigation at foreign countries this time, hereafter we will work forward to spread Japanese technology over the world (especially, ASEAN) continuously.
