Soil Pollution Survey

Environmental research

We investigate soil contamination status.

About soil contamination surveys, it is important to accurately understand the types of contaminants and their extent of contamination. At our company, we conduct a geological survey to evaluate the possibility of pollution from materials, a general survey to check the presence or absence of surface pollution in the field, and a detailed survey to check the extent and depth of pollution based on the results of the survey. And efficiently collect the information necessary for purification measures.

The situation you need soil pollution survey…

・When a specific facility that are used hazardous substances is abolished(Under the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law Article3)
・Character change of land of 3,000 ㎡ or more. Changing the traits of land of 900㎡ or more on land such as factories.(Article4)
・When you would like to understand the asset value of land and manage risk

How to survey

  1. Step1.Geographical history survey

  2. We will investigate the possibility of soil contamination and the need for field surveys from materials.
・ Survey of materials such as registered copy, old map, aerial photograph, residential map, geological map, etc.
・ Land use history, storage history of harmful substances, hearings, field surveys
If there is a possibility of contamination, move on to a general survey.

  3. Step2.Overview survey

  4. Firstly we understand the presence or absence of contamination on the surface and the planar distribution.
・Surface gas survey: When there is a risk of VOC contamination
・Surface soil survey: When there is a risk of contamination with heavy metals, etc.
If contaminants that exceed the specified standards are detected, we will move on to a detailed investigation.

  5. Step3.Detail survey
  6. Based on the results of the general condition survey, we will select the points to be investigated in detail, conduct the survey including the depth direction, and determine the extent and depth of pollution.
・Boring survey: Soil is collected and analyzed in the depth direction.
・Groundwater survey: Groundwater is collected and analyzed at points that exceed the soil elution standard.

  7. Step4.Measures / administrative measures
  8. We collate the survey results with the needs of our customers, plan countermeasures, explain to the government, and carry out construction.
